The other night I watched Rosie O’Donnell’s documentary a “A Family is a Family is a Family” and it was just what I’ve been waiting for. If you didn’t get to see this on HBO, find it, search it on your DVR, it’s truly beautiful and very much needed. I launched The Next Family in hopes to generate media, products, resources etc. like this movie. If more programming like this existed, it would be my own personal dream come true.
Thank you Rosie! I want to interview her, what do you think the chances are? Anyone know her?

I finally saw it last night. Loved the music! Loved that they addressed so many types of families – adoption, mixed race, two moms, two dads, single parents, even IVF! Honestly, I think it slowed down a bit when Rosie came on, as she did most of the talking whereas in other segments the kids did the talking, unprompted. Go Brandy, I do hope TheNextFamily could produce products like this. If so, count me in!
Thanks Pearson! Yes the music was great, I wonder if they are going to do a soundtrack.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE “A Family is a Family is a Family!” My 14 month old daughter absolutely loved the music, too. She danced through just about the whole thing, and that’s why I am looking for a CD soundtrack. If you hear about one being released, please, please, please contact me!!!
