“Love will find a way,” is the first thing you read on LoveTrumpsHatred.com. And that’s exactly what the website is trying to do — allow same-sex couples to find free or reduced prices for wedding services from vendors all across the United States and use the services to wed before Trump enters office.
Though Donald Trump has said that the marriage equality decision is “settled,” his choice of appointees in his cabinet and on the Supreme Court (not to mention his anti-LGBT VP) has the LGBT and ally community still worried for what the next four years has to bring.
To help couples who want to get married before inauguration day, Melanie Whelan, a “straight Midwesterner,” started LoveTrumpsHatred.com. It provides a list of free or reduced wedding services like photographers, cakes, gowns, officiants, and accessories in 26 states.
“There’s not a lot I can do, but that is something I can do,” Whelan said.

This isn’t the only example of people offering free services to the LGBT community after Trump’s election. Lawyers and legal professionals are offering free services to trans individuals with ID and name changes. They can be found with the hashtag #TransLawHelp.
