I was recently asked to attend a meeting at the White House on helping children explore, learn, and dream without limits. The discussion centered around breaking down gender stereotypes in media and toys. After going through 3 levels of security, I was in the White House! There were researchers, influencers, parents, toy brands and White House advisors in attendance. It was a remarkable experience. I learned so much about the challenges that our boys and girls face in today’s world. I came back home fired up to create change in my own habits around gender stereotypes and to help to educate other parents and colleagues on what we can do to help our children to not be defined by gender. Here is more about what I learned and how you can help.
