We are four days away from Election day, and with that, a number of celebrities have come together star in an anti-Trump parody to urge people to get out and vote — and not for the “orange talking STD” as they so call Trump in the song.
The song was written by Crazy Ex-Girlfriend creator and star, Rachel Bloom, Elizabeth Banks, and Moby. The video stars other famous celebrities like Jane Lynch, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch, Glee’s Naya Riviera, Jane the Virgin’s Jaime Camil, Patti Lupone, Adam Scott of Parks and Recreation, Felicia Day, Amber Rose, and other stars you may recognize The Mindy Project, Beauty & The Beast, and many other films and TV shows.
“Holy shit, you’ve got to vote,” is the mantra of the song.
The parody will have you laughing outright: “We may not be geniuses, although we play them on TV, but we know we shouldn’t let this man grab America by the pussy.”
The song gives other reasons why America shouldn’t vote for Trump — he’s racist and his Twitter rants are far too similar to Hitler’s Mien Kampf. Though the stars don’t mention Trump’s stance on LGBT issues, it’s good to note that he’s promised to sign the First Amendment Defense Act which would allow open discrimination of LGBTQ persons across the U.S.
Check out the video below and share! We got to save America “from shooting itself in the face,” as the song so says.
