We like to consider ourselves pretty savvy when it comes to technology. Though we like to think that the issues with technology are never our own fault, we discovered this weekend that that’s not quite true.
I was so excited to get a Grillbot, as we have this fantastic outdoor grill that we use quite often which means it needs to be cleaned often — and I don’t want to do that. Instead of handing that chore over to my wife, we got a Grillbot! It worked fantastic! That is until we brought it back indoors and it wouldn’t stop beeping — or so we thought. We even went to the extent of placing it in the basement — but still it beeped.
We soon realized that it wasn’t the Grillbot that hadn’t been beeping, but our refrigerator door that was open thanks to my daughter not placing the Gatorade in all the way. But before we realized this, I embarrassingly tweeted Grillbot about the malfunction. Yes, that was a very awkward moment.
