LUNAFEST – Short Films By, For, and About Women

December 7, 2014 @ 10:30 am - 5:00 pm

LUNAFEST is a traveling film festival of award-winning short films by, for and about women. This season, our program of nine films – filled with stories of reflection, hope and humor – will travel to over 150 cities and screen in front of 25,000 people. Each year, various organizations bring LUNAFESTs to their communities and raise funds for their local non-profits as well as our main beneficiary.

Round up the family and spend the afternoon at the Autry National Center (formerly the Autry Western Heritage Museum). The collection includes 21,000 paintings, sculptures, costumes, textiles, firearms, tools, toys, musical instruments, and other objects from the American West along with special exhibitions.

Cost $75 for adults / $25 for children includes free parking, entrance to the museum, LUNAFEST, films, reception and more! All proceeds go to providing rapid response financial assistance for living essentials to working women living at the poverty level when they miss work due to medical challenges. Members of The Next Family community can use our special discount code: TNF, for a discounted ticket rate which can be bought here.

Award winning artist Synthia Saint James will be on-hand to meet guests and talk about her latest work. Synthia has generously donated her painting, Real Women, that will be sold at LUNAFEST to benefit Bloom Again Foundation.
